Biographical note:

Coordinator Professor at the Superior School of Technology and Management of the Polytecnic Institute of Viana do Castelo. Full professor of financial accounting and financial auditing. PhD in Accounting. Author of books, book chapters and scientific articles published in top academic journals including “The Accounting, Organizations and Society”, “The European Accounting Review’, “The Accounting Forum”, among others. Reviewer of articles of several leading accounting journals. Active reseacher on financial accounting, international accounting harmonization, accounting change processes and institutional theory. Director of the Master of Accounting and Finance. Integrated Member of the Research Centre on Accounting and Taxation (CICF – Centro de Investigação em Contabilidade e Fiscalidade).

Ernesto López-Valeiras, PHD | Universidade de Vigo

Biographical note:

Ernesto López-Valeiras is Associate Professor of Management Accounting at the Universidade de Vigo (Spain). His research focuses on management accounting and control, particularly in entrepreneurial and small business contexts. He is the author of several books, and his work has been published in international academic journals. He serves as associate editor of the academic journal “Spanish Journal of Finance and Accounting” (JCR; ABS). He is a member of the ECOBAS research center and the GEM-Galicia team. He also coordinates the AFFE Observatory (Accounting and Finance for Entrepreneurship) and serves as a member of the Management Accounting Committee of AECA (Spanish Association of Accounting and Business Administration).
